Title: E-brake efficiency
Post by: jbcollier on Tuesday,February 28, 2017, 07:56:23 PM
One of the problems with the e-brake mech is that the handle pulls off at an angle.  It actually loses mechanical advantage as it extends.  This 47 has the handle located where it would keep it’s mechanical advantage as it is pulled:

Clever.

One thing about the 47 handbrake, it keeps pressure applied to the pedal. If you look closely at the pedal box you'll see the cable.
