Hi All,
I'm getting dangerously close to completion of my '68 S2.... I've a couple of questions on the Speedo cable, clutch cable runs and throttle routes, I've strengthened the clutch cable driver's floor mounting and have the plate and grommet replaced behind the driver's seat in the tub, which way would would it route once in the engine bay? Does the throttle go the same route and where on earth does the speedo cable travel!
Also, I've got a second hand umbrella handbrake but can't find any info on the bracket required and its mounting position, I see there are two holes at the drivers side of the plenum chamber, would that the be the answer? All input is greatly appreciated -).

I can't help you with everything as I have an S1.
Throttle cable runs along the side of the tunnel's upper edge.
Speedo cable goes into the chassis right where the heater pipes pop out and then comes out the rear of the chassis as shown here:

The rear of the handbrake handle fits to a hole in the front "luggage" area. You can see the recessed attachment point in this photo (just below the hose to the dash vent:

Not sure where the front attachment point is on a S2. The handle is located on the driver's side, awkward as that is in practise. You can see it in this shot of the driver's side of an S1:

Last, but not least, you paint job looks gorgeous! Congrats. One small detail often missed is that small vertical "sill" between the two wheels should be painted black:

It looks a little "off" otherwise.

Thanks a lot for the info, it was nearly 4 weeks in the body shop! I have daily pictures I'm having the original Tasman decals made for the doors too.
Does anyone have a picture or drawing of the mounting bracket between the handbrake itself and the body?
Thanks Keith

Not the best of pictures but should be enough to show how the parking brake is attached on my S2 and TCS. Both are very similar in attachment.
My S2 does not have a DB10 relay so the front steel angle mount attachment is mounted to directly to the fiberglass. On the TCS the steel angle attachment is fixed behind the DB10 relay with one bolt.

Brilliant, thank you! It's the first pics I've seen to ascertain the bracket and positioning. I'm nearing completion of the ground-up rebuild and the last 5% always takes the longest. Did I see you have the Gordini motor? How does that run? -)

Apologies for not looking at the address GB, realise the Gordinis not yours, thanks for your help -)
