Title: WTB: 73 JPS parts
Post by: medleylane on Monday,July 18, 2016, 01:10:59 PM
I am restoring a 73 JPS race car that was successful in Daytona in 77 and 78.

Unfortunately a lot of parts were missing when I bought the car. I am looking for:

headlight assemblies
tail light assemblies
turn light assemblies

Lexan windshield
rear glass
plexi headlight covers

does anyone have a source for quality radiator?

Christof

 :Welcome: Christof!

The headlight assemblies are the same as for MG Midgets, MGB, etc. They are readily available from Lotus suppliers like r.d. enterprises (http://www.rdent.com/), Dave Bean (davebean.com), and MG suppliers like Moss Motors (http://www.mossmotors.com/). Tail light assemblies are from E-Type Jags (don't remember which years), but also from the Lotus suppliers above as well as Holden which has red/amber/white assys (http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproducts.asp?sg=1&pgCode=010&sgName=Electrical&pgName=Lighting&agCode=0045&agName=Side+and+Rear+Lamps+-+Parts&pageno=2) and it's likely that SJ Sports cars has them (http://www.sjsportscars.co.uk/index.php?mod=9). Turn signal assys are likely available from the usual Lotus suspects. If the rules allow, aluminum radiators are available on ebay (like now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALUMINUM-ALLOY-RADIATOR-SPORTS-CAR-LOTUS-EUROPA-COUPE-S1-1-5-1-6L-1966-1976-M-T-/152070799066?fits=Make%3ALotus%7CModel%3AEuropa&hash=item2368203eda:g:aOsAAOSw1DtXIbfs&vxp=mtr) and here (http://www.dhgate.com/product/alloy-aluminum-radiator-fit-for-lotus-europa/239386444.html). Also check the usual Lotus suspects. Not sure where to get the plexi glass parts.

There's a pretty good collection of websites on this forum: http://www.lotuseuropa.org/LotusForum/index.php?topic=1389.0
In case you're not already a member, the lotuseuropa yahoo group is another source of good information.

Please post pictures of your car and tell us what your plans are for it!

Maybe Kelvedon for the Lexan windshield, rear glass, and headlight covers -
