Title: Fuel Sender Unit removal tool

Good day every one. I need to replace the sender unit on the left hand side tank of my Europa Special. It lists a tool for the job in the workshop manual but I've searcher for one including  second hand but no luck. Has anyone any pointers or what have they used instead.

If it's not rusted,  I usually tap them off with a blunt punch and a hammer.  You can't just hit on one tang you have to work all three sequentially as best as possible.

Too much force with a hammer and chisel and you risk breaking or bending a tang. A simple tool to make is to cut slots in a round piece of plastic drain pipe coupler 120 degrees apart.

Good suggestion, not sure what the diameter of our drain pipes are on this side of the pond. thanks for the photograph Grumblebuns, all the best Stuart
