Title: Another front suspension question
Post by: Runningwild on Monday,October 26, 2015, 06:20:25 PM
I'm almost done putting the new front suspension on the early 68 S2. Almost Everything is installed but not torqued down.
- do the end plates of the sway bar angle down or up. Not sure which side is left or right
- is there a correct order to start torquing down all the bolts
- all the bushings are poly  - do I still need to have the suspension under load
Thanks. Can't wait to finish the front end.    Tom

The poly bushings are not bonded so it shouldn't matter if you torque them while the car is unladen.

Perhaps this photo will answer your roll bar question:

Hi Tom,

If you mean the flat plates that connect to the bottom of the damper, here's a photo of mine installed. It's on a TC but similar design I think. My aim was to get the damper connection as near to horizontal as possible when the car is at ride height - it's on it's wheels in this photo.
